The
Danville International Children's Film Festival kicked off with
dinner, "Back To The Future" and a Q & A with opening
night guests Producer/Screenwriter Bob Gale and Claudia Wells
(Jennifer Parker).

On May 21st, my car and I attended the Danville International Children's Film Festival. We (the club) had planned to have at least one of our local NCDMC folk make it to the show but none of them were able to make it. I made the 100 mile drive so my group wouldn't let the the charity down.
After hitting really bad traffic on the way down I almost wasn't expecting to make it on time. But the traffic delayed most of the folk attending so it worked out. I positioned the car in front of the theater where they had set up a red carpet, and then went to the dinner, which was being held across the street.
Below are a few of the photos I took to document the evening. Comments are at the bottom of each picture:
Even during the setup, folk were striking the familiar BTTF pose found on the movie posters.
This is the Mayor of Danville, Newell Arnerich. The Lady in the black outfit was the person on the movies who made sure everything was proper for the period each scene was set in. She's worked at Universal for many years.

This is Daryl Sabara from the "SPY KIDS" movies. He thought my car was really cool and he was surprised to find he could see over the steering wheel. He was shouting to his mom: "Mom mom! I could actually drive this!! I can reach the pedals and everything!" It's good to see he's still a typical kid.
Here's me and Bob Gale. I think the folk at the Pigeon Forge car show will really like him.
Here I'm going to have to do some digging to find out the names of everyone. The fellow in the driver's seat is Ricky Dean Logan from "Back To The Future II & III". He was one of Griff's/Biff's henchmen.
Originally, Christopher Lloyd was going to be the big guest. However he got a movie deal in Italy, so he made a little video to wish everyone a good event.

While it was a long drive on short notice, I had a very good time and was able to spend some extended time with each of the celebrities. And as usual, my best quality time was spent with my car! 8^)
